Doing abdominal exercises will not lose belly fat
The body can not be forced to lose fat in a particular area by exercising the muscles directly under this area. What you should be focusing on is to lose body fat and gain some muscle. The misconception is that doing hundreds of crunches or seat every day will make your excess belly fat disappear.

So, is it worth it to work your abs if ab exercises will not help reduce fat around your belly. The answer is yet to exercise your abs , but in the context of all of your basic work. Your core strength comes from all the muscles of your abs and back and their ability to support your spine and keep your body stable and balanced. The key functions and exercising several muscles at the same time to develop strength, work on stability and burn more calories during your workout.
