Turn Your Extra Holiday Pounds Into Your Greatest Gift!
The holidays are over and like most of us you probably put on a few extra pounds. So the 'normal' thing to do is to go on a diet. Right?
But experience, and a multi billion-dollar diet industry has shown us that this may put you on a dangerous rollercoaster from which there is no turning back. Millions of people are inescapably trapped on the Diet Yoyo.
I am not going to give you yet another weight loss strategy. Instead, I am going to make you aware of one thing about your body that you already know but take totally for granted. Yet when you are truly, consciously aware of this one thing you will never ever again need another diet.
The Never-Again Diet Secret
"Your body is an amazing, magnificent machine that is constantly self-correcting. " You depend on this when you are injured. You put on a bandage and fully expect that everything will be healed a few days later.
Without a second thought you anticipate that your body will right itself but, for some reason, you do not make that same assumption when it comes to weight loss. Instead you believe that eating totally crazy and lop-sided foods for a period of time will magically put you back in balance.
Being Fat Is Hard Work!
The Iceberg Principles teach us that we are perfect exactly the way we are. Our pain comes from trying to be somebody we're not. Yet those who battle their weight believe they must force their bodies to lose the extra pounds.
But it is a fact is that our body will seek homeostasis as a matter of course. The body does not like to be out of balance. It will do everything in its power to return to its natural state. Losing excess weight is natural: it is not hard; it is maintaining excess body weight that is hard. It takes enormous quantities of excess food to maintain artificially higher body weight. The moment we gain weight the body will begin to seek ways to shed the excess pounds. It requires unwavering commitment to supply excess food in order to maintain the extra weight. In other words it does not take work to lose weight, to takes work to stay fat - a lot of work!
America's Obesity Has Nothing To Do With Food
So if it's so much work to stay fat and so easy to lose weight then how come America has such a raging obesity problem? Simple! Americans are willing to put in the extra work that it takes but it's not exactly by choice. That's because we do not eat because we are hungry; we eat because we need comfort.
Why do especially Americans require so much comfort? It's because our inner critic is louder than most. In our competitive society our ego is always telling us that we are inadequate, that we do not measure up. Advertisers seize on this relentlessly and exploit it mercilessly. Subliminally, they tell us that if we wore these clothes, used this toothpaste or drove that car we would look like those people on TV; in other words we would be happy.
But that's a lie! We're not unhappy because we don't look like those people in TV; we're unhappy because we're constantly goaded into being somebody we are not! That's what causes us to hurt and food can make that better for a while. So we eat. And we gain weight. We become even less ourselves and even unhappier. It becomes a vicious cycle.
The only way you can ever be happy is when you are being completely you. Drop the focus on diet. Instead, take time everyday to tap into that powerhouse that is always within you - regardless of how much you weigh at the time. Take time to listen to your intuition and discover who you really are and what you are meant to do with your life. Find your strengths. Honor your gifts.
When you play on that level, life takes on a whole new meaning. The weight loss that is now in the forefront of your mind becomes a non-issue as everything finds its natural balance and harmony. Your body returns to its normal and natural weight. Most likely you won't be Twiggy, but you'll be you!
You are unique in all the world. The universe did not make a mistake when it brought you forth. You are here to share your exclusive mix of gifts and talents. Go out and play the magnificent role that was written just for you and play it in a way only you can.

what to do about it.
It was so paradigm shifting for her that she
found new energy and well, obviously - she didn't die! Instead, she
wrote another book - 'The Iceberg Principles - the Truth about the
