The overwhelming majority of people who want to lose weight tend
to look for the easiest possible solution. They want to lose weight as
quickly as possible, with as little effort as possible. This doesn't
mean they're not serious, or that they're lazy. It's simply human
nature.
Of course you want to lose weight the easy way. Of course
you want to carry on eating all those tasty things you've been eating
for the past twenty or thirty years, and of course you don't want to
start going to a gym every day.
Diets; Diets and more Diets
Every
other day another miracle diet makes it onto the front page of fashion
magazines and etc. Yesterday it was the "raw food" diet; today it's the
"low fat" diet, and tomorrow it's the "low carb" diet. Other diets
demand that you basically starve yourself and suggest that you do
several rigorous workouts each week as well.
Admittedly, a
combination of dieting and exercise is without question the best answer,
but we cannot proceed with blinkers on. Reducing food intake is
crucial, and by including more physical activity, results can be had a
lot quicker.
Creating a Calorie Deficit
Weight gain
and/or weight loss is all about calories. Let's just say that in your
typical day your body burns up 2876 calories. If the foods you eat
supply your body with more calories than this, you'll put on weight. If
your daily intake is below this amount, you'll lose weight.
Busting the Calorie Habit
If
you're reading this, you most likely do not want to spend hours and
hours in a gym, and personally, I don't blame you. Having said all of
that, getting some exercise is certainly recommended, and especially
because it can be quite difficult to just suddenly reduce food intake.
There
is good news however. These days there are many home remedies for
appetite suppressant foods and beverages. Many people recommend caffeine
based beverages, but it is wise to exercise a bit of caution when it
comes to these. Yes, caffeine is an appetite suppressant, but if your
favorite coffee is crammed full of calories, then you won't be
benefiting at all in the first place.
If your focus is primarily
on finding home remedies for appetite suppressant foods or meals, then I
would certainly recommend that you invest in a good quality blender to
begin with. Making your own juices can be a lot of fun, and obviously
the juice you make is going to be excellent for your health. A good
fruit and vegetable juice is packed full of nutrients; minerals and
vitamins, while at the same time having very few calories. More
importantly however, is the fact that because it's so nutritionally
dense, it automatically suppresses one's appetite.
